Have you always wanted to try your hand at 3D routing but didn’t quite know where to start? Well take a look at these samples we recently cut at CONSAC. Thanks to our friends at SAi who are the makers of EnRoute software, CNC and CAD/CAM design software for the wood working, sign making, manufacturing, and fabrication industries.

3D MultiCam Texture Cut Out

You can download the demo file here: http://www.screencast.com/t/6Gctb6Lb

This 3D routing example showcases EnRoute’s included texture settings. Cut on Precision Board and measuring 10 x 3.2 x 0.75 inches, this MultiCam logo takes approximately 8 minutes to cut. The texture and clear out cut around the text were done with a 1/8 ball nose bit and the final cut out was done using a 1/4 end mill.

Remember! When cutting Precision Board it is important to adequately vacuum the material being cut. Not only will it reduce the buildup of particulate dust but it will reduce the static build up on the table.
